For Chinese people, Spring Festival means a rare rest and reunion after a busy year. However, the Spring Festival is a different story for Nanjing VGO colleagues working overseas. In order to promote the construction of the Zimbabwe project, they gave up their small families for everyone, chose between reunion and separation, resolutely chose to stick to their work, and wrote the dedication blessing of the New Year with the attitude of struggle.
January 21, in the domestic reunion, busy for the New Year’s Eve dinner, while on the project site, the company’s colleagues still adhere to the work. They arrived at the construction site on December 20 after crossing the sea. It was the rainy season and the site conditions were rough and inconvenient. They overcame many difficulties and worked overtime every day to catch up with the schedule, ensuring the steady progress of the project.
This project is the first foreign project implemented by Nanjing VGO in 2023. We will continue to carry forward the spirit of Determination to Win Victory and the Courage to Surmount Every Difficulty, overcome the difficulties and go all out to accelerate the construction of the project and strive to complete it on schedule in March. Project manager Liao Lixun is confident that the project can be done well.
Early on New Year’s Day, they will continue to work on the construction front as usual. Builders turn homesickness into motivation, replace reunion with persistence, and play the most beautiful melody of the festival with hard work.
